Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the results. Minnetonka Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. When a visitor sends a message, the message content is used to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Hosting services create standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Those records are reviewed in aggregate for maintenance and to understand general use. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Limited information is used to operate the service, troubleshoot technical issues, measure traffic, and improve reference pages. Visitor lists are not sold, and the service does not create individual visitor profiles.
Links and Outside Services
The reference links to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The privacy policy of the destination controls information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results, which are supplied by an outside company.
Parties That May Process Data
Hosting and support providers may process server logs for the service. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise only as described in this policy.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for as long as the purposes stated here require. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by Minnetonka Residents Directory.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a visitor believes that a minor sent information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where a visitor lives, laws may provide rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a business. The Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act provides consumer privacy rights described by the Minnesota Attorney General. Because this service retains very little personal information, a request generally involves the contact mailbox and relevant server logs. Send a request through the Contact page.
Government records maintained by Minnesota, Hennepin County, or Minnetonka are outside this service's control. Their public-data access is governed by the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. ยง13.03, unless another law classifies a record differently. Requests to remove or correct government data must go to the responsible custodian.

Updates will be posted here. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies.
